I’m typing this from my now lovely hotel room having woken up with gallbladder pain, caused by a combination of rich food and annoyance. Supressed negative feelings can appear as pain in the body, because your unconscious mind is trying to get your attention.
We were supposed to be staying in a cottage. A few days prior I’d noticed some recent negative reviews of the cottage about the dishevelled state of the garden & filth in the oven.
The owner had responded & said the cleaning standards had been taken up a level. I tried to push the reviews out of my mind but had packed cleaning products, just in case.
The garden was still dishevelled which didn’t bother me, it was the sour smell, years of crud in the fridge, stained beer mats as coasters, coffee ringed table & the grease which remained in the oven, that made my toes curl.
I started cleaning the fridge. As I was doing that my husband was rifling through the cottage guest book. Pages of complaints.
Heaving slightly & trying to block all smells from my nose, I came to my senses. I couldn’t face making tea so we went out in search of food.
We found the most beautiful little hotel which overlooked a harbour with fishing boats & had an outdoor pizza bar surrounded by fairy lights.
My nickname is 5 Star Stelly & my daughter’s is Posh Spice. I’m not sure whether my daughter’s penchant for nice things is nature or nurture. I do remember my Dad threatening me with a 5 star hotel because I couldn’t hack a backpacking hostel in Indonesia. The beds were made of concrete. The toilet & shower was a hole in the ground, which was flushed with lake water in a bucket.
I checked us into the nice little hotel.
Deep down I was having a BF though, (you’ll know what this means if you’ve watched the movie White Chicks).
I’d already fed back to the cottage company and asked for a refund but I was still annoyed.
So what can you do when you have unwanted feelings, which are blocking you from the joy of a situation?
I used EFT.
After a few moments of tapping my gallbladder pain eased as did my feelings. You can use this technique for all sorts of limiting beliefs or feelings. In the video below, I use the example of self-doubt in relation to attaining a vision or BHAG (big hair audacious goal).
Wishing you all the very best.
